Carroll, 40, has been a long time big league veteran having totaled exactly 1000 hits in 112 seasons in the MLB. He is a lifetime .272 hitter with only 13 homers and 265 RBIs.
Noel Arguelles - (Kansas City Royals) Activated from DL
Arguelles, 23, went 1-8 with a 5.93 ERA in 25 games(11 starts) for the Royals AA team. He walked 53 and struck out 44.
Mike Zagurski - Released by Yankees
Zagurski, 30, pitched in 3 separate AAA teams this year but played in the big leagues for the Yankees and the Pirates. He had a 17.05 ERA in 6 big league appearances this season in only 6.1 innings
