The Cincinatti Reds made a small move today to bolster their catching by signing Brayan Pena to a 2-year 2.5 million dollar deal according to Enrique Rojas of ESPN Deportes.
Pena, 31 hit .297/.315/.397 in 2013 for the Detroit Tigers. He had a K:BB rate of 26-6 in 243 plate appearances. Pena has a lifetime slash of .258/.292/.359 with 18 home runs and 120 RBIs primarily as a backup catcher.
